Roland Anthony Barbay, Sr. (October 10, 1940 - November 14, 2025) – went to be with Jesus on the morning of November 14, 2025. Roland was a long-time resident of Chalmette, LA, but passed away in his home of twenty years in Covington, LA. Roland was the husband of Margie Sinopoli Barbay, father of Margie Barbay Bowles (Scott), Roland Anthony Barbay, Jr., Mitzi Barbay Fernandez (David), Melissa Barbay Gaye’ (Adam). Roland is survived by 10 grandchildren; Jason, Katie, Chase, Bryce, Tyler, Quin, Addison, Connor, Mackenzie, and Drake; 8 Great-grand children; Tyler, Penelope, Barrett, Caroline, Gianna, Lane, Avery, and Brax. Roland was the brother to Reenie, the late Bonnie, Bootsie, Sue, Peggy, Paddy, Rusty, and Skip. A private Honorable Military service was held on Friday, December 5, 2025 where Roland was honored for his service in the United States Navy. “To God Be the Glory”
