Philip Sterling “Buddy” Robin

Philip Sterling “Buddy” Robin, 94, of Lumberton Texas, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on February 17, 2026. He was born on April 7, 1931 in Alluvial, Louisiana and grew up in the fishing villages of lower St. Bernard parish. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Upon his return, he was employed by Ingram Oil Refinery, later Murphy Oil, from the mid 1950s to the early 70s when he joined his family seafood business. From the mid 1980’s until his retirement, he operated a variety of seafood enterprises at various locations in Southeast Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Robin; brothers, Edward “Doogie” Robin and Ronald Robin; sister, Lorraine Acosta; and stepson, Chuck Newman. He is survived by his wife Jeanette; brother, Terry “Corky” Robin and his partner, Rose; sisters, Violet Melerine and Joan Nash; sons Keith Robin and his wife, Judy and Philip Robin Jr. and his wife Shawn; stepson, Bobby Hendon and his wife, Cheryl; grandchildren Keith Robin Jr. and his wife Jeanine; Jenny Robin Nadler and her husband, Darin; Jeff Robin and his wife Jennifer; Philip Robin III and his wife Jennie; Cameron Robin; Kiley Robin; Charles “Chase” Newman and his wife, Danielle; also Ryan Hendon; and sixteen great grandchildren. He had a passion for living life to the fullest. He enjoyed anything to do with family, friends and the beach as witnessed by anyone that attended one of his epic birthday parties. Memorial contributions can be made to Tunnels of Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10306. A gathering of Mr. Robin’s family and friends was held at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas. His graveside service followed at 2:30 p.m., at Evergreen Cemetery, 1298 North Main Street, Jasper, Texas.
