Phil Anthony Barré

Phil Anthony Barré was born September 15, 1948, and passed away September 25, 2024. Phil was married to and shared 37 years with his beloved wife, Linda Fleury Barré. Phil was born to the late Evelyn LeSassier Haynes and the late Stanley Barré. He was reared by his mother and father the late Donald C Haynes Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories his children Phil Barré Jr and his wife Georgina, Inga Barré, Patrick Barré, Phillip Barré and his wife Erica, Brandi Fleury Barré, Christopher Phil Barré and his wife Shanne, and Lindsi Alexi Barré. His grandchildren, Tatiana Barré Solhjoo and her husband Ryan, Gabriela Barré, Ryan Williams, Raymond Williams, Brinaé Barré Roberson and her husband LeDarryl, Ilana Barré, Elaia Barré, Phillip Barré, Jr., Lillian Barré, Kya Cheri-Ann Barré, Kayden Christopher Barré, London Ann Barré, Logan Alexis Barré, and Beaux Christopher Barré. His great granddaughter, Omni Roberson. Phil reunites with his daughter, Peidra Ann Barré in Heavenly Peace. Phil's siblings, Stanley Barre, Jr., (deceased) and his wife Elma Barré, Conrad Barré Sr., Joan Barré, Donald Haynes, Jr., and his wife Reneé, Greg Barré, Rosemari Barré-Hemmingway and her husband Ed, Dewey Barré, Theda Barré Baron and her husband Carl, and Lisa Barré. Phil also leaves to cherish his memories his mother and father-inlaw, Merlin L Fleury and Hilda A Fleury. His sister-in-law, Cindy Fleury Chenier and brother-in-law Merlin L Fleury, II (deceased). Special love to his cousin Paul LéSassier and his wife Kym, and Melvin Williams and Bridget A Fleury. Phil attended Corpus Christi Elementary school and graduated from Clark High School in 1968. He was an all-around amazing athlete receiving many scholarship offers for baseball, basketball, and especially, his love, football. Phil started his career delivering for Coca-Cola before beginning his law enforcement journey. He worked for the New Orleans Police Department before retiring after 33 years of service. Following His retirement from the NOPD, Phil worked for the New Orleans Sheriff's Department retiring after 14 years of service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service starting at 1 p.m. to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W.
