Paul Anthony Cangelosi

Paul Anthony Cangelosi passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Paul was the beloved son of the late James Joseph Cangelosi, Sr. and Rita Foret Cangelosi. He was a devoted brother to Elizabeth Cangelosi Austin and the late James Joseph Cangelosi, Jr. and Salvador Cangelosi. He is survived by his loving daughter, Tammy Marie Chappell; his cherished granddaughter, Hollie Elizabeth Flower; and his grandson, Holden Paul Clark, who will proudly carry his memory forward. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Bobby Boudreaux, Paul Chappell, and Angel Chappell, who were an important part of his life; his nieces, Licia Cangelosi, Kristie Cangelosi Goyer (Brian), and Melissa Austin Conzonero (Rocky); and his nephews, Kristian Cangelosi (Brittany) and Dallin Cook. He will be fondly remembered by many relatives and dear friends. Paul loved his family fiercely and took great pride in his Italian heritage and his roots in Arabi, Louisiana. A true rock and roll spirit, he was a self-taught drummer who could make any kit sing, playing by ear with unmistakable passion. He was also a respected roofer, dedicating many years to his craft and earning the admiration of those who knew his work and his work ethic. Tammy and the Cangelosi family invite friends and loved ones to attend a visitation at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chalmette, on Monday March 9, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Paul’s life beginning at 11:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he will be laid to rest alongside his family.
