It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of Loretta Gill, a woman who touched so many lives in the most beautiful and genuine way. Loretta Peralta Gill was born on April 22, 1962 to her mother, Phyliss Knight Peralta, and father, Elliott Fabian Peralta. Loretta grew up in Chalmette, LA.; and she passed away in Tulsa, in the hospital at St. John's. She resided in Savanna, Okla. with her husband Tinker Gill, the love of her life. They were married for 26 years. Loretta loved helping people; she was a real estate agent with Leader Group Reality, and attended the First Baptist Church of McAlester. Loretta was a loving wife, mother, a dear friend, and the most doting MawMaw anyone could ask for. Her love for dogs knew no bounds, and she had a way of making every moment feel special. If you were ever lucky enough to be one of her clients, you quickly became more that that, you became a friend. Loretta had a friendly and familiar warmth that drew people in, a heart that made everyone feel like family. Her kindness and generosity of spirit will be missed. Loretta's cajun spice personality instantly drew you in. The world is a little dimmer without her light, but I know her love and memory will live on in all of us who were blessed to know her. Loretta was a beloved child of God, whose faith and strength were a guiding light to all who knew her. May we all find peace in knowing she rests in His loving embrace, secure in the knowledge of whose she was. Loretta leaves behind her husband, Tinker Gill; three sons, Zachariah Mayeux and wife Bridgette, Clint Mayeux and wife Amanda, and Brock Mayeux and wife Jessica; her daughter, Hailey; and a brother, Steven; and her 9 grandchildren, whom she loved with her whole heart. Loretta was preceded in death by her mother and father; her first husband, Wayne Mayeux; and two brothers, David and Chip.
