Leslie “Les” Anthony Robin Sr., a resident of Pearl River, Louisiana, passed from this life into glory on January 12, 2025. Les, born on August 29, 1952, was a Delacroix Island native and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. Leslie’s life was one of dedication, love, and laughter, which he shared generously with everyone around him. Les is the son of the late Herman and Camella Robin Sr. and grew up immersed in the rich culture and traditions of the Isleños community, which shaped his love for family and the outdoors. Leslie was devoted to his late wife of 42 years, Patricia Robin, and their children, Dawn King (Robert “Bull”), Lisa Neal (Cory), Wendy Ryder (David), and Leslie Robin Jr. A doting grandfather, Leslie’s legacy continues through his grandchildren, Carlton D. Sistrunk, Avery Neal, Eris Neal, Lexton Abdo, Isabella Ryder, Shannah Sistrunk, Wyett Sistrunk, Eli Ryder, and Audry Ryder, and his great-granddaughter, Teagen Neal. He is survived by one sister, Terrie Robin, and preceded in death by his brother, Herman “Jicky” Robin Jr., and sisters, Kathleen Eturralde and Denise Robin. He was a loving uncle to Mark, Aabron, Tanya, Jason, Gillis, and Marion, their families, and many others. Leslie retired as Director of Facilities Services for Tulane University, where he was employed for 28 years. He felt privileged to work with many wonderful people, who he considered dear friends. Les was an avid outdoorsman, who particularly enjoyed duck hunting with his sons, grandsons, family, and friends. He relished time with his loved ones, enjoyed music and dancing, and according to his family- was the best storyteller. Family and friends attend his funeral services on Sunday, January 19, 2025. A celebration of life service for both Les and his wife, Patty, who preceded him in death, was held. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.audubonfuneralhome.com
