Jeanne Carol Allen Palone was born in Altoona, Pa., on January 18, 1942 and passed away on June 17, 2024 in Merritt Island, Fl. Daughter of the late Walter F. and Jeanne Calvin Allen of Altoona, Pa., respectfully. A graduate of New York State College, Fredonia, New York, Carol held degrees in English, Speech, and Dramatic Arts. Her career as an educator began at East Bloomfield High School, Bloomfield, New York and spanned decades at Hollidaysburg High School, Hollidaysburg, Pa; Chalmette High School in Chalmette, La., and Bonnabel High School in Metairie, La., teaching English as a second language. Carol loved art, music, literature and especially cats. Beloved wife of the late Julius P. Palone. Carol is survived by her brother Mark C. Allen of Merritt Island, Fl., and nephews, Walter C. Allen and Samuel K. Allen of Ipswich, Ma. A Visitation will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, on Friday, June 28, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Graveside Service at 2:00 p.m. at Metairie Cemetery in All Saints Mausoleum.
