Don Anthony Serpas, born October 13, 1958, passed away November 18, 2024, in Meraux, Louisiana at the age of 66. Don was preceded in death by his parents August Serpas, Sr. & Angelina Nicosia Serpas. He is survived by his siblings: MaryAnn Faul (Mack) & August Serpas, Jr. (Patricia). He is also survived and fondly remembered by his nephews and niece: Gannon Faul (Jamie), Grant Faul (Kasey), and Christina Serpas Johnson (Todd) and a handful of great-nieces and nephews. He is survived by the love of his life, Connie Babin and loyal four-legged pal, Sam. Raised in Poydras, Don attended Holy Cross School and later the University of Louisiana – Monroe (Northeastern Louisiana University) where he studied to become a pharmacist. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. His innate love to help people lead him to be a dedicated pharmacist over the last 40 years for K&B Drugs, C&C Drugs, and prior to his retirement, Don’s Pharmacy. Opening his own pharmacy was the culmination of a lifelong dream. Throughout his career, Don was known for being helpful and knowledgeable in the ever- changing field of healthcare. Don loved gardening. He felt it brought him peace and connection to his parents who were always in the garden. He was also a die-hard Saints and LSU baseball fan. And if you knew Don, you knew how much he loved music. The louder the better! Don was well-loved and known for his good heart and kind nature. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Violet from 10 a.m. to 11:30 am. with a service to follow.
