Bonnie Barbay Griffin, 77, passed away October 2, 2025, surrounded by her family. A woman of deep Catholic faith, she grew up in Louisiana and later moved to Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina with her husband of forty years, the late Daryl Griffin. She worked many years at ExxonMobil Refinery, inspired many as a contestant on NBC’s The Biggest Loser, and was active at St. Mark’s. Bonnie is survived by her daughter Kimmie (Shawn) Nowak, sons Craig (Amy) Griffin and Kirk Griffin, and grandchildren Brock, Brennan, Olivia, Hayden, Jonathan, Jenna, and Jacob. A service will be held at St. Bernard Funeral Home on 10/11 from 9-11am followed by mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the American Lung Association.
