Angela “Angie” Wilson Jones, of Pearl River, Louisiana, passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on December 13, 1963, in Chalmette, Louisiana, to late Edward and Andrie Mae Wilson, Angie was a devoted mother, a doting grandmother, and an adored friend. Family was the cornerstone of Angie's life. She is the beloved mother of Terry Joseph Jones II and the late Brandon Michael Jones and loving mother-in-law of Corrie Ann Jones. Her world was further brightened by the arrival of her grandchildren, Cooper Joseph Jones and Abigail Mae Jones, with whom she shared her zest for life and laughter. Angie is the caring sister of Russel Wilson and the late Edward Wilson Jr. and the cherished girlfriend of Mel Devore Jr., with whom she shared over 10 years of treasured memories. Angie's early years were spent in the close-knit community of Chalmette, where she attended Andrew Jackson High School. Her vibrant personality and infectious humor were evident from a young age, traits that would endear her to many throughout her life. Angie dedicated herself to the well-being of children as a teacher’s assistant at Riverside Elementary in Pearl River until retirement. Her warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on the lives of countless students and colleagues. Angie loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a circle of friends who were like family and greatly enjoyed socializing with each of them. Angie took every opportunity to live life to its fullest and often could be found planning her next beach getaway. Known for her humor, Angie was the life of any gathering. She had an uncanny ability to light up a room with her jokes and playful antics. Her laughter was contagious, and she never missed an opportunity to make others smile. Angie’s presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Angie will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Cemetery at a later date.
