Albert Williams Alverez, a resident of St. Bernard Parish, entered into eternal rest on Saturday May 11, 2024 at the age of 95. He was the son of the late Albert and Leola Livingston Alverez; beloved husband of Betty Howard Alverez for 65 years; father of Albert Jr. (Dionne), James (Cheryl), Larry, Charisse, James P. (Zanika) Alverez; loving grandfather of Walter, Dion (Sonya), Quinnesha, Jennifer, Devon; great-grandfather of Jasmine Alverez; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; brother of Augustine, Emelda, Gloria, Carolyn (Robert), Roosevelt (Margaret), Lionel (Deborah); stepfather of Donna Jones Shaheen; devoted cousin of Terryl Cargo; three godchildren Joe Louis Cargo, Terrel Leflore and Toni Echols. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Leola Alverez; two sisters Inez and Lovernia; four brothers Allen, Huey, Harold, and Julius.
