Pauline Rose Gioe

Pauline Rose 'Tina ' Gioe, age 72, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on October 28, 1953, she lived a full and spirited life overflowing with laughter, love, and adventure. A proud and devoted mother of two, Tina was a retired dealer from Harrah’s Casino, where she spent many years brightening the days of coworkers and guests alike with her humor, quick wit, and welcoming smile. She had a gift for making everyone around her feel seen, appreciated, and loved. Known to her friends and family as “Nana,” Tina embraced life with open arms and an adventurous heart. She loved riding her Harley, exploring new places, and creating memories wherever she went- often side by side with her best friend, Toni Martinez, and her traveling partners, Jean and Felix Castanza.

Her greatest joy, however, was always her family. She treasured every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life and source of her endless pride. A true role model, Tina, inspired her family with her strength, independence, and unwavering love, showing them what it meant to live fully and fearlessly. Tina will be remembered for her free spirit, her boundless kindness, and her unwavering love for those she held dear. Her laughter, her courage, and her generous heart will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her- a beautiful soul who brought joy, adventure, and unconditional love into every life she touched.

She is survived by her two children, Robin Diaz (Matt) and Dennis Diaz Jr. (Melinda); her grandchildren, Arthur Gutierrez (Chelsey), Dillon Diaz, Corey Bobinger (Ravin) and Kierstyn Clark; her great- grandchildren, Shiloh Gutierrez, Greyson Diaz, and Rhaenyra Bobinger; her daughter- in-law, Tammy Diaz; her best friend, Toni Martinez; her traveling partners, Jean and Felix Castanza; her siblings, Gayle Klein (the late Jimmy), Judith Lee ( the late Allen), Laura Reilly (Gerard), Ferrell Gioe (Lois), Ronald Gioe (Helen) and many cherished friends and extended family members. Tina is preceded in death by her parents, Stella Mae Gioe and Carlo P. Gioe; her siblings, Kathy Dyess and Keith Gioe. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at Our Lady Of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, followed by a memorial mass and burial in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
