Roxanne Melerine, 69, of Benton, Arkansas, formerly of St Bernard Parish passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Roxanne was born January 13, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana, daughter of the late Simon Duplessis and Margaret Duplessis. She is also preceded in death by a son, Casie Melerine Roxanne is remembered as one who loved cooking; making jewelry; and was an avid dancer, loving music and especially noted that she wanted to hear Blondie at a recent visit with her daughter.
She is survived by her children, Ramon Hontiveros of Texas; Lorrie Melerine and Husband Earnest Thomas of Houston, Texas; Jullie Melerine of Houston, Texas; brothers, David Duplessis and wife Darlene of New Orleans, Louisiana; Brian Duplessis of New Orleans, Louisiana; sister, Donna Duplessis of Louisiana; grandchildren, Roxanne, Marissa, and Dante Melerine all of Houston, Texas; and Raven Melerine of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Barry Matherne nephew and a number of nephews, nieces and her best friend, Jimmie Pfeiffer of Benton, Arkansas. Visitation was held at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home with service at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 19, 2026.
