Ricky B. 'Gas Man' Videau Franklin, Sr. entered into eternal rest on April 1, 2025 at the age of 66. He was born to the union of the late Helen C. and Ranell Franklin, Sr. From an infant he was lovingly cherished and raised by the late Novairia 'James' and Lillie Rose G. Videau. He was the devoted husband of Linda Payne Franklin for 47 years. Loving father of Nikkell (Trinithy), Ricky Jr. (Shamika), and DaMahn (Alexis) Franklin. Grandfather of DeVontre', DeAndre', Jadyn, Sophia, Julien, Rozne', Chrishiaya, Chrishay, Chrishode, A'Mari and Anthony, and great-grandfather of R'Miyah. Brother of David (Patsy), Rodney (Elaine 'Bell'), Reginald (Judy), Willie (late Wanda) and Buddy (Melissa) Franklin, Sheila Williams, Carolyn (late Kevin) Miller, and the late Ranell Jr. (late Janice), Leo Sr., Diane, Lillie, Ronald and Donald Franklin. Nephew of Theodolph 'Teddy' and Marcia Videau.

Father figure and confi dante of Stephanie Gary, Valencia Ann Allen and Patrick 'Pete' Gibson. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ricky was a resident of Gretna (Jones Town), LA, and was educated in Jefferson Parish School System.
