Curtis McElroy passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the age of 87. Beloved Husband of the late Virginia Vanderheyden McElroy for 63 years. Loving father of Joy Lynn Hertz, Patty Gonzales (late Alfred Bubba), Terry Comeaux (John Perry), Cathy Manale (Ted) and Bonny Kerne (Errol), son of the late William and Maybelle McElroy. Brother of Iola Otis, Ula Mae Spencer, John McElroy, William McElroy and the Late Frances Antill. Proud grandfather of Kirk, Michelle, Alfred, Ginger, Scott, Nicole. Ryan, Perry Jr, Stephanie, Heidi, Ronnie, eo, Falyn, Donald, Chavonne, Amanda, Errol Jr., Joshua and the late Joshua. Also survived by 45 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren andmanyniecesandnephews.Curtiswas born on December 8, 1937, in New Orleans, LA. He was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and a current resident of Picayune, MS. He was a parishioner of St Charles Boromeo Church in Picayune, MS. A Navy Veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6872. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home in Chalmette, LA.
