Rosalie Loria Baker of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at North Oaks Hospital at the age of 89. She was born on November 15, 1935, in Tickfaw, Louisiana. After graduating from Independence High School, Rose moved to New Orleans for work where she met her husband of 67 years. They resided in Arabi, Louisiana until Hurricane Katrina when they moved back to her hometown of Tickfaw. She was a loving wife and mother and is survived by her daughters Mary Baker Lambert (Rene M. Lambert), Debra Baker Tabony (David Kreihs Tabony), brother-in-law, Eugene L. Baker, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Edgar Baker, her parents, Sam I. Loria and Theresa Bertone Loria, brothers, Nace P. Loria, Sam J. Loria, and Joseph P. Loria.
Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 Hwy 442, Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466 on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Cemetery in Tickfaw, Louisiana.
