Sherry Ann Alphonso, born on October 5, 1961 and a native of St. Bernard Parish, La., passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, in Covington, La. Sherry was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints, loved Wrestle Manua and enjoyed playing bingo. Sherry leaves behind her beloved siblings: Leonard (Gwen), Wayne (Carolyn), Lynn (Kenny) and Kent (Glenda), whom cherished her and will carry her memory forward. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Claudia (Rodney) and Michael (Mary Ann). '
The family invites those who knew and loved Sherry to join them in honoring her life at a Visitation at 9 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass to be held on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2621 Colonial Blvd., in Violet, La. Sherry Ann Alphonso will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. We ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Down Syndrome Society, or the Dementia Society.
