Leo A. Ayo, born on December 4, 1945 in Arabi, La.; passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the age of 78. After graduating from high school, Leo enlisted in the United States National Guard to serve his country. He worked at Kaiser Aluminum for 19 years then at Cembell Industries in Chalmette for several years until his retirement. Additionally, Leo was the ultimate outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ishmel and Lottie Ayo; brothers, Paul Ayo and Michael Ayo. He is survived by his loving husband of forty-four years, Elbert Desselle; beloved dogs, Sammie, Deliah, JR, Lilly; brother, David Ayo, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at 10 a.m. and Mass Service at 12 p.m. in Leo's memory on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La.
