It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michelle Toledano Cook, who passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, at the age of 67, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family. Michelle was born on May 13, 1959. She was a native of Chalmette, La., resident of Slidell, La. and a member of the Lutheran faith. She dedicated more than 30 years of her life to working as a real estate agent, where she found joy in helping families find a place to call home. Michelle genuinely loved helping others and built many lasting friendships throughout her career. Outside of work, she had a creative spirit where she enjoyed crafting, decorating, and making spaces feel warm and welcoming. Above all else, Michelle was a proud and devoted mom. Raising her two children as a single mother was the greatest joy and purpose of her life. She loved her children more than words could express and was endlessly proud of the people they became. Becoming a grandmother brought her even more happiness. Whether she was making crafts with her grandchildren, decorating for Christmas, or simply spending time together, those moments filled her heart. Her family was her greatest blessing. Though cancer ultimately claimed her life, it never defeated her spirit. She faced every challenge with remarkable courage, grace and determination. Michelle is preceded in death by her Parents, Patricia White Searcy and Sam Searcy and Brother, Terry Toledano. She is survived by her Daughter, Ashley LeBoeuf and husband Cody of Madisonville, La. Son, Joshua Cook, and her beloved Grandsons, Cameron, Tristan, Julian, who brought her immeasurable joy, Sister, Tammy Curtis and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply. A Celebration of Life will be held at Palmettos on the Bayou, 1901 Bayou Lane, Slidell, La. 70458, on August 1, 2026, 11:00am – 2:00pm, where family and friends will gather to honor her life, share memories, and celebrate the love she gave to those around her.
