Terrie Abadie Neal, age 75, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026. She was born on October 9, 1950, in New Orleans, LA. She is survived by her sons, Garret Neal and Brett Neal; her grandchildren, Devin Neal and Kynslee Migliore; her siblings, Alan Abadie Sr. (Charlene), Charmaine Dupree, Julie Bradbury (Keith); her brother- in-law and sister-in-law, Conrard Caruso Sr. and Jeanne Abadie; her many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Terrie is preceded in death by her parents, Merlin H. Abadie Sr., and Emily R. Abadie; her siblings, Merline Caruso and Merlin “Mike” Abadie Jr., and her niece Stephanie Fayard. Terrie loved through care taking. She was the caretaker of her whole family and was there for anyone close to her at a drop of a hat. She took pride in making sure everyone felt loved. She especially loved Mardi Gras and spent all her time on St. Charles Avenue. Her whole Mardi Gras weekend was spent camping out in the early hours, just so her family could have a front row spot. Terrie was a founding member of The Curb Police. She loved the French Quarter and showed her love to her children by volunteering for French Quarter Fest for numerous years. Terrie especially loved the cha-ching noise at a slot machine, you could find her sitting at the slots for numerous hours in the casino. Terrie was a big supporter of the Salmen High School Band, taking care of uniforms, putting lights on instruments for her beloved grandson, Devin. Mum was a devoted classroom grandmother for her beloved granddaughter Kynslee. Terrie in her younger years established life long friendships from Our Lady of Prompt Succor and Andrew Jackson High School. She treasured all her moments of laughter and friendship with her beloved 'Jackson Blvd. Krewe'. Terrie most of all loved her family and will be deeply missed by them all leaving a hole in their hearts that no one will be able to fill. Though she maybe gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts. A celebration of life will be announced in the future.
