It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Ervin Alfonso. He passed away peacefully at his home on May 5, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 75. He was born on April 7, 1951 in New Orleans, La. to Tommy and Esther Alfonso . Ervin Alfonso lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Pat Alfonso, his children, Kayla Thonn (Nick), Tiffany Ellerbusch, Tessy Vaillancourt (Eric), Jody Alfonso, Cliff Bertucci (Michele) and Jeannie Roussell (Mitchell), his son in law Keith Florane, and his 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren that he truly adored and loved. Also survived by his loving siblings; Tootsie Latapie(Canoe), Tommy Alfonso, Babee Gonzales (Rudy), Lester Alfonso (Debra) and Edward Alfonso (Kelly). He was preceded in death by his brothers Terry Alfonso Sr., David Alfonso and his stepdaughter Lisa Menesses. Ervin enjoyed watching baseball and football. His love for the Saints and LSU was big. Ervin’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
