Cherise Lynn Buras Coto unexpectedly passed away on February 17, 2026 at age 50. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Cherise was known for her kind and compassionate heart and her unwavering commitment to being true to herself. She loved deeply, and those closest to her will forever cherish her genuine spirit, sharp wit, and unique sense of humor. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Zoe Cherise Coto; her father, Jude T. Buras, a sister, Michelle Buras Stogner; she is also survived by her aunts, Mary Fuller Dowling and Carol Fuller Broad bridge; her uncle, A J Buras; her nieces, Jean Buras Cancienne, Hailey Stogner, her nephew, Tyler Stogner; and cousins Mindi and Tiffani Broadbridge, Kayla Dowling Higgins, Artie Buras. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Jean Fuller Buras, maternal grandparents, Girlie and Russell L Fuller, Jr., and her paternal grandparents, Louise and Dudley Buras and her uncle Arthur Francis Buras.
