St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office Holds D.A.R.E. Program Graduations

Several hundred St. Bernard Parish fifth-graders recently graduated from the fall semester of the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office’s Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.Graduation ceremonies were held recently for students at W. Smith Jr.
The iconic Twentieth Century amusement park, Pontchartrain Beach, with it’s memorable Zephyr rollercoaster ride on the New Orleans lakefront has been transformed into a launch pad of jobs and innovation named The Beach at UNO in honor of the bygone destination of entertainment thrill-seekers.
