He engineered the Tesla electric self-driving car which satisfied the demands of environmentalists. He created a battery city with the hopes of proving that there might be an end to fossil fuels. Musk imagined SpaceX providing the United States with the ability to travel to the International Space Station without humbling ourselves before the Russians.
