Anthony Joseph “Tony” Cuccia – September 9, 1943 – December 20, 2025 of Youngsville, LA (formerly of Chalmette, LA) passed away at 82, from Leukemia. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathleen Daigle Cuccia, his three children, Karen Schloegel (Alfred), Anthony Cuccia, Jr. (Marie) and Kevin Cuccia (Bettie), nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Mr. Cuccia and his two sons owned and operated Fisherman’s Friend Bait Shop in Chalmette. He owned several classic cars, was involved in the St. Bernard Antique Car Club, and was privileged to have had a couple of his classic cars used in movies filmed in New Orleans and the surrounding areas. After retiring as a commercial fisherman, he was especially delighted in visiting the casinos on the Gulf Coast. Mr. Cuccia enjoyed a successful and very fulfilling life. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 2825 Paris Road, Chalmette, LA, beginning at 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
