Aline L. Black was welcomed into Our Lord's loving arms on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the age of 94. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who gave and received love from many. Aline was born in May of 1930, and currently resided at Heritage Manor, in Slidell, La., for the last year and a half. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Jeanne Lemoine; first husband James Mayeux; second husband Harold Black; children Joan M Daniels and John Black; and great-grandsons Joseph Menzato Jr and Nicholas Menzato. She is survived by her children, Volcie Kathy M Sherwood, Keith Black (Barbara); grandchildren April Coupel (Rene), Joseph Sherwood IV, James Sherwood Sr., Jessica Lott (Jason), Keith Black Jr., Jonathan Black (Genese), Morgan Daniels; great-grandchildren James Sherwood Jr., Hunter Sherwood, Jayden Sherwood, Ava Sherwood, Gabriel Sherwood, Hailey Coupel, Joseph Grenner III, Jensen Grenner, Jaden Pitman, Makayla Black; cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass starting at 11 a.m. to be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 2320 Paris Rd., in Chalmette.
