Recall Petition Against President Pomes Filed

A couple of disgruntled St. Bernard Parish residents are making a move to have current parish president Louis Pomes removed from office. On Thursday, May 15, a petition to recall Pomes was filed by local residents Henry Joseph Curtis III and Brianna Lynn Assavedo.

The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Offi ce arrested a man on narcotics and weapons charges following an investigation conducted by the Special Investigations Division Narcotics Unit, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office participated in Desi Romano’s 9th Annual Crawfish Cook-Off to benefit SOAR (Strengthening Outcomes with Autism Resources) Southshore, a parent-created 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing resources, therapy, and guidance to families with Autism from diagnosis.
