OLPS Student Breaks National Reading Record After Reading Over 600 Books
Catherine Robin, a 9-year-old student from Our Lady of Prompt Succor School in Chalmette, broke the national record for points earned in a single school year in the Accelerated Reader program after reading more than 600 books in the third grade.
Catherine Robin, a 9-year-old from Our Lady of Prompt Succor School in Chalmette, broke the national record for points earned in a single school year in the Accelerated Reader program. Before this school year, the previous national record was 2,804.8 AR points, and Catherine finished third grade with 3,510.4 AR points earned from reading 609 books during this past school year.
