Back to School supplies donation was presented to Hope Larios of St Bernard Community Center at the end of July 2025 from the St Bernard Parish AARP Chapter 3926 members and Leona Galley, President.

Kiwanis Hosts Semi-Annual Scholarship Meeting

The Kiwanis Club of St. Bernard-Arabi held its semi-annual Scholarship Awards meeting on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. During the event, the Club awarded 29 scholarships to residents of St. Bernard Parish, with the average GPA of recipients being 3.225.

Members of NARFE Vernon N. Landry Chapter 1398 came together on July 9, 2025, to celebrate their 14th Anniversary since re-forming after Hurricane Katrina. It was a wonderful day spent enjoying camaraderie and some delicious eats at Rocky and Carlo’s Restaurant, followed by cupcakes and ice cream for dessert. The chapter also took the opportunity to give back to the local Family Violence Program with donations of bottles of shampoo and conditioner.

St. Bernard Autism Awareness Krewe Donates Sensory Bags

The St. Bernard Autism Awareness Krewe recently presented sensory bags to the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office and the St. Bernard Parish Fire Department to assist first responders when encountering individuals with autism or other sensory sensitivities during emergency situations.
