Lucretia "Lou" Billiot Everhardt

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lucretia 'Lou' Billiot Everhardt at the age of 96, who left us peacefully on February 4, 2025. Born on February 11, 1928, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and greatgreat- grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and laughter. She leaves behind her children, Rosemary E. Gagliano, Linda E. Buras (Frank) and Rita E. Riviere (Barry); her grandchildren, Donna G. Gifford (Raul), Joseph 'Joey' Gagliano, Paul R. Riviere (Annie), Rachelle R. Schultz (Todd), Jeffrey E. Buras (Debbie), Jennifer G. Dow (Tony), Barry P. Riviere (Holly), Ryan A. Riviere (Valerie), RaeAnn R. Chaisson (Ross) and Rachel A. Riviere; great-grandchildren, Samantha Robinson, Taylor Acosta, Blake Gifford, Sarah Penton, Hank Gifford, Franklin Buras, Joseph Gagliano III, Emma Dow, Tony Dow, Stone Riviere, Behr Riviere, Sophia Riviere, Vaughn Riviere, Bethany Buras, Cole Dow, Olivia Chaisson, Bella Kirsch, Ava Kirsch, Rex Riviere, Byson Riviere, Sabrina Riviere, Mia Chaisson, Stella Chaisson, Layla Riviere, Riggs Chaisson and Badger Riviere; and her great-great-grandchildren, Legend, Beaux, Lena, Amelia, Willeaux, Sonny and Dylan; her siblings, Rita Bonura, John Billiot, Laurencia Billiot and David Billiot. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Everhardt Sr.; her son Edward Everhardt Jr.; her parents Louis and Elizabeth Billiot; her siblings, Henri Billiot, Lawrence Billiot, Luc Billiot and Nobert Billiot. A widow since 1975, Lou lived a life full of joy and resilience.

 She cherished her family and was a constant presence at family gatherings, always there to celebrate birthdays and share in moments of happiness. Her unwavering love for her family was evident in everything she did. A woman of many passions, she had a love for games and entertainment. She enjoyed playing cards, spending countless hours at the casino, and never missed an opportunity to partake in a lively game of bingo. Her favorite hobby, however, was playing Pokeno, which she did until the very end. She was also an active member of her Pokeno club, where she made lasting friendships and fond memories. Lou was known for her love of dancing. For many years, she could be found at dance halls, enjoying the rhythm and freedom of the music. She loved walking the track, staying active and embracing the joy of life with every step she took. Her infectious spirit and warm heart will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Lou’s legacy of love, laughter, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Relatives and friends attended the funeral services at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W.
