George G. Miller, age 93, passed away peacefully, after a long and memorable life, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. A lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. George was a commercial fisherman who generously served his parish. He was an active member involved with both the AARP and the local Council on Aging. Beloved husband of the late Doralee Guerra Miller for 53 years. George is survived by his loving children: Cathy (David), Karen (Michael), Darlene (Wayne), Donna, and Rachel (David); and his brother Earl George Miller, Jr. (Kathy). Proud grandfather of David Jr. (Melissa), Angela, Chontelle (Ricky), Michelle (Danny), Brandon (Mary), Evan (Julie), Ray (LeAnn), Chad (Tiffany), Ryan (Brittany), and Emilie. Great Grandfather of David Hebert III, Nicholas Jenkins, Eric Melerine III, Ricky III, Faith & Kyle Boudoin, Eli & Tye Dardar, Lincoln Miller, Lillian & Griffin Miller, Aubrey Elisar, Kolton Elisar, Callie Gifford, Austin Elisar, Parker & Alivia Miller. Great-Great Grandfather of Savannah, Kaysen, Micah, Payton, and Myla Grace. George was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Earl George Miller, Sr. and Carmelite Evans Miller, as well as Ernest Miller, Alice Schimederer, Gloria Mitchell, John Miller, Charles Miller, and August Miller. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, August 17th from 9:00AM - 11:00AM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00AM. George will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
