Diane Boynes Bourgeois, age 75, of Chalmette, Louisiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Diane was the beloved wife of Charles A. Bourgeois, Sr., with whom she shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Charles A. Bourgeois, Jr. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton Joseph Boynes, Sr. and Alberta Schmit Boynes; her brother, Clinton Joseph Boynes, Jr. (Mary Lee). She is survived by her brother, David Boynes (Cindy), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Diane retired from Children’s Palace. She found joy in many of life’s simple pleasures, especially gardening, her religious faith, and dancing. She will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, the friendships she treasured, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her. Diane’s memory will live on through the many lives she touched and the countless memories she leaves behind. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 9:30AM - 11:00AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
