Local Exceptional Athlete Qualifies for National Special Olympics Track Meet

  • Stephen Hernandez, the son of Melissa Bruno and Stephen Hernandez Sr., is a member of The Exceptional Athletes of St Bernard. Stephen recently participated at the State Special Olympics track meet in Hammond where he won 1st place in the 100 yd dash. This accomplishment has qualified him to compete in the National Special Olympics Track Meet in Minnesota in June of 2026, where he will be proudly representing Exceptional Athletes and St. Bernard Parish.
