For many years, she was a proud member of the Daughters of Eve Krewe, with whom she rode the float faithfully in the parades. She reveled in the joy of the season, always greeting the crowds with a smile and wave, embodying the spirit of celebration and community that defines New Orleans. Known as the 'Red Bean Lady,' her red beans were a family treasure. Her grandchildren adored them, and it was said that they would only eat her red beans, no matter where they were or who else was cooking. Outside of family and food, she enjoyed her time at the casino, where she could often be found testing her luck with a smile on her face. Whether winning or losing, joy came from the experience, she never failed to share her excitement with those around her.
