St. Bernard Sheriff's Office holds Drug Take-Back Day

  • The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office held a Drug Take-Back Day on Oct. 26 at Walgreens at the corner of Judge Perez Drive and Paris Road in Chalmette. Lt. Chip Englande of the Special Investigations Division Narcotics Unit collected 163 pounds of unwanted or expired prescriptions so they could be disposed of properly. With Lt.     Residents properly disposed of 163 pounds of unwanted or expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medications Oct. 26 as the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office participated in the annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
