New Store Opens up in Former Voice Office

    In the former historic St. Bernard Voice office building on Mehle Street in Arabi, a new storefront has opened up, and the owner hopes to make the building—and his business—a staple of the Arabi community.

    In November 2019, Louis Maestros bought the building from the former owner Edwin Roy and his wife Judy with the intention of opening his store “Old Arabi Lighthouse Records and Books” soon after.…
