  • The Plaquemines Parish Fair and Orange Festival is held at Historic Fort Jackson in Buras. This year marks the fort's 200th anniversary. There will be a regiment of Civil War re-enactors who'll be demonstrating firing cannons and more. There will be tour of the fort and a presentation on the history of the fort on Saturday, December 3 only. First tour starts at 12 p.m.
