On July 1, Sheriff James Pohlmann marked the 14th anniversary of taking office as Sheriff of St. Bernard Parish.
Sheriff Pohlmann was first elected in November 2011 and officially took office on July 1, 2012. Since then, he has been re-elected without opposition in 2015, 2019 and 2023, and began serving his fourth term on July 1, 2024.
