Odds of Teacher Pay Raise Dim as Louisiana Voters Reject Constitutional Amendments

    A constitutional amendment that would have given public school teachers and support staff permanent pay raises failed Saturday, rejected by 58% of voters statewide.

    Voters also shot down four other constitutional amendments proposed by Gov. Jeff Landry and the Legislature.
