This week marked America’s return to the moon. Apollo 17 was the last to visit on December 11,1972. It has been fifty-four years since the last visit.
This return mission sets the stage for continued exploration and possibly a colony on the lunar southern pole. This would open the door for further space exploration by getting beyond the atmospheric veil and gravity of Earth.
