The President of the St. Bernard Parish School Board, Dr. Katherine Karcher Lemoine, was also recently sworn in as the President of the Louisiana School Boards Association, an organization providing leadership, service and support for the state’s school boards.

The Louisiana Department of Education’s (LDOE) recently publicly released the 2025 Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP) data. According to a press release from LDOE on the scores, Louisiana in general saw a very minor increase in the overall LEAP scores.

The St. Bernard Art Guild held its Open Art Show and Plein Air Event at historical Docville Farm in Meraux. Showcased were the works of 30 artists with 107 works of art. The Art Guild was honored to welcome as the show judge, Ms. Patt R. Lemarie, a prestigious and renowned New Orleans artist.
