The December 16 St. Bernard Parish Government (SBPG) council meeting was the final one of 2025. At this final meeting, council members voted on and approved a resolution that completely repealed all their prior resolutions “pertaining to policies and procedures for the St.
At their “Breakfast for Children” event held at Docville Farm, Valero donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to local nonprofits around St. Bernard Parish. In total, $350,000 was spread out among 8 donation recipients. Included within these donations was $90,000 given to the Community Center of St. Bernard, $90,000 to the Family Violence Program of St. Bernard, $30,000 to Exceptional Athletes of St. Bernard, $30,000 to the St. Bernard Autism Awareness Krewe, and more.

The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a 35-year-old Violet man reported missing by his family, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.Melvin Lewis Jr. was last seen at a family member’s residence in the 1900 block of Bridgehead Lane in Violet on Nov.
