The St. Bernard Parish Government announced that multiple coastal restoration projects are set to begin construction in 2020 or 2021 in an update posted to the SBPG’s Facebook page.
By a margin of 1,686 votes, Republican William “Billy” McGoey was able to defeat Democrat Leola Anderson to become the judge of St. Bernard’s 34th Judicial District Court, Division A at the December 5 runoff election. McGoey Collected 3,652 votes (or 65% of the vote) to beat out Anderson’s 1,966 (or 35% of the vote).
Nunez Community College has reopened its Pelican Pantry as part of its efforts to address food insecurity of both students and employees.
A Christmas Extravaganza hosted by St. Bernard Relay for Life, American Cancer Society, will be held Saturday, December 5 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the (Old St. Louise) Community Center, 1914 Aycock St., Arabi.
