The St. Bernard Business & Professional Women's Club (BPW) held its Fashion Show luncheon on Friday, April 17. Held annually, this event celebrates the accomplishments of women in the community and supports BPW's community outreach initiatives.

I have a request for all of our pontificating politicians. Leave God and me alone to work out our relationship. I consider myself a religious person, but I don’t wear my faith on my sleeve or preach to my neighbors. I have a “comfortable” relationship with the Good Lord. But it’s personal.

POINT OF VIEW

This week marked America’s return to the moon. Apollo 17 was the last to visit on December 11,1972. It has been fifty-four years since the last visit.This return mission sets the stage for continued exploration and possibly a colony on the lunar southern pole.
