Explosion, Fire Reported at Chalmette Refinery

In the early afternoon of Friday, May 8, St. Bernard Parish residents in the Chalmette area reported hearing, seeing, and feeling an explosion from the Chalmette Refinery, which saw a fairly significant column of fire emanate from the refinery.
