Chalmette High School Presents Cole Porter's 'Anything Goes'

The classic and splashy musical, Anything Goes, will take to the Chalmette Cultural Arts stage this month with four shows. It will open on Thursday, March 16 and run until the 19. Showtimes are 7 p.m. for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, March 19.

Four Coastal Restoration Projects in St. Bernard Advance for CWPPRA Funding Consideration

St. Bernard Parish Government is pleased to announce that several largescale coastal restoration projects have advanced in the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) process. Coastal parishes, the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA), and participating federal agencies voted the Bayou Ducros Marsh Creation project #1 and the Biloxi Marsh Shoreline Protection project #2 in the Pontchartrain Basin. Additionally, the South Delacroix Marsh Creation and Terracing project was voted #1 and the Bayou Terre Aux Boeufs Ridge Restoration and Marsh Creation project was voted #2 in the Breton Basin. Meraux Foundation Announces Grants to Support Education, Environment, and Quality of Life in St. Bernard Parish

The grants support nonprofits with proven track records of success in areas that align with the family foundation's mission and program areas, including education, environment, and community resilience.

Deadline Dates Approaching for Kiwanis Club, Spirit of St. Bernard Foundation and Dean Scholarship Applications

The Kiwanis Club of St. Bernard - Arabi and The Spirit of St. Bernard Foundation have set deadline dates for receiving applications for their annual scholarship programs. Two of the scholarships, the Kiwanis Club - John Richard Bienvenu Key Club Scholarship (application due March 31, 2023) and The Spirit of St. Bernard Foundation Scholarship (application due March 31, 2023) are awarded for four years with a total value of $8,000. The Dean Scholarship application is due April 15, 2022. There will be five four-year scholarships that will be awarded a total value of $12,000 each. Additionally, a one-year scholarship valued at $2,000 will be awarded by Gulf Coast Bank & Trust in coordination with the Kiwanis Club-John Bienvenu Key Club Scholarship.
