• Jenny Abshier is St. Bernard Parish’s Junior Miss 1999. She competed April 25 with 16 other contestants in the 22nd annual Junior Miss Program sponsored by the Rotary Club of St. Bernard. As the winner of the competition, she receives a $3,000 scholarship and advances to the state competition to be held this summer in Winnfield.
