A long-time St. Bernard Parish resident, dedicated reporter for the Times-Picayune, and well known figure within the parish Steve Cannizaro passed away on December 19, 2022 in his home in Chalmette at 71 years of age. Steve had been in declining health with his wife Joan stating that he suffered from leukemia, kidney cancer, heart disease and diabetes.
