The guest speakers at the July 27 AARP Chapter 3926 meeting were Ericka Scott and Krystina Dominique, representatives from St. Bernard Eye Care, Dr. Dennis Muller Optometrist office. Dr. Muller's office was asking for school supply donations for low income families of St. Bernard .

Chalmette resident Robyn Hays joined her friend Talia on a trip to Pensacola, FL on July 19 for a parasailing adventure.The girls both celebrated their 17th birthdays this summer and have been best friends since they were three years old.

On Saturday, June 22, AARP Chapter 3926 celebrated it's 39th year anniversary with a luncheon for all of it's members. Officers pictured, from left, are Glenda Fedele (Treasurer), Leona Galley (President), Carolyn Constance (Secretary) and Terry Heidel (Vice President). The club sends thanks to Breaux Mart for their beautiful anniversary cake.

Generally, we think of promoting “da Parish” as letting the region know about St. Bernard. Recently, the St. Bernard Day at the Capital in Baton Rouge which was a lunchtime greet and meet along with ample food for all was a statewide PR event.
