Suicide attempt interrupts SBSO deputies' trial
Capt. Andre Dominick, one of three St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office deputies currently on trial for allowing inmate Nimali Henry to die in the parish jail in 2014, remains in intensive care following an apparent suicide attempt on Nov. 8.
Multiple outlets attribute Dominick’s lawyer, Paul Fleming, with providing information on the 58-year-old deputy’s condition. Fleming told reporters Dominick has undergone up to five surgeries and appears to be stabilized from a chest wound.
